Grandparents Raising Grandchildren 

 

In northwestern Illinois, over 4,500 grandparents are raising their grandchildren because the parents are unable to care for the child for a number of reasons including: death, illness, divorce, incarceration, neglect, and unemployment.

Education and Training 

Grandparent forums, conferences and other educational programs are available at various times throughout the year.

 

Temporary respite care

Respite care provides grandparents the opportunity to take break from caregiving with the assistance of licensed child care agencies. Click here for your provider site

Legal Services

Emergency Assistance
